About the game

De la Bête will take place in September 2015 in the area of the Valeč castle. It's a high-production game inspired by French novels, legends and great themes of the late Ancien Régime period. Although it is largely based on the stories of the Beast of Gévaudan, it is not set in a specific years and it draws only loose inspiration from historical events, rather than describing them accurately. It can be said that it takes place in an unspecified part of the second half of the eighteenth century. De la Bête deals with transformation of mind, dramatic conflict and emotions. De la Bête is a vast historical fresco which offers its characters diverse game content. Some characters are based more on relationship lines, some on intrigue or action.

The game will take place on 23.-27.9.2015 (English run) and 7­.-11.10.2015 (Czech run) at the Valeč castle near Karlovy Vary. It is necessary to be on site on Wednesday 19:00, we will appreciate if you can come earlier. Costumes and catering are fully provided for by organizers (except shoes). The game itself takes 48 hours and it will be preceded by intensive workshops in which we will try to get all the players on the same wave. Registration for the upcoming runs which will take place in September 2015 will begin in February.
