Hinterland is the latest installment in the Solnedgång saga, following on larps like Ingenmansland, Skymningsland, Desperatia and Landsväg. In this fiction Sweden is struck by a devastating war on midsummers eve of 2013, a war in which cities like Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Copenhagen are hit by nuclear bombs followed by an invasion of Russian and NATO forces. Sweden, not prepared for war, quickly collapses and three years of chaos and unimaginable suffering follow.

This larp is an open story, with no organizer controlled storylines or plots. Rather, we present you with a small, nasty sandbox to explore and make of what you will. Our ambition is to create a larp that will be felt in your heart and your stomach. A larp that will force the players to make difficult decisions - decisions concerning how to organize your group, how to divide resources, how to survive and what has to be sacrificed to reach your goal.

None of you are good or evil, none of you have a clean conscience, and all of you have suffered terrible hardships during Sweden’s slow downfall.

You all have a background, but the time before the Bang seems more and more unreal. Relationships created by surviving the sometimes inhumane conditions in different refugee and quarantine camps will be developed by all of us together online and in workshops before the larp.
