Lunacracy on liveroolipeli ministeriöiden byrokraateista, joiden tehtäväksi on langennut kaikki siirtokunnan ongelmat ratkaisevan selviytymisstrategian kirjoittaminen.

Byrokraattien avuksi on kutsuttu asiantuntijoita, jotka tuntevat käsiteltävän aiheen, mutta joilla ei ole virallista valtaa. Kuivat paperinpyörittäjät ja toimiston vitsiniekat kohtaavat persoonien, arvojen ja tavoitteiden kalahtaessa vastakkain tämän suurtehtävän edessä.

Larppi etenee vaiheittain. Ensin kukin ministeriö laatii omat esityksensä siirtokunnan ongelmien ratkaisemikseksi, minkä jälkeen varsinainen strategie työstetään kaikkien ministeriöiden yhteistyössä. Lopulta strategian läpimenon ratkaisee Kuun Parlamentti, jonka puoluekoostumus saattaa olla hyvä pitää mielessä strategiaa laadittaessa, tavoitteena kuitenkin on saada strategia menemään läpi Parlamentissa.

Larppi on suunniteltu 6-12 pelaajalle. Pelaajat tulevat ottamaan joko virkamiesten ja asiantuntijoiden roolin.

Lunacracy is a larp about ministry bureaucrats in the moon colony of LunaOne. The bureaucrats are faced with the task of writing up a strategy, that would solve all the problems of their troubled colony.

To help the bureaucrats, experts have been called in for consultation, and lobbyists could not be kept out. Dusty paper-pushers and office jokesters will meet in a clash of personalities, goals, and values to co-operate in their daunting task.

Lunacracy is a larp for 6 to 12 participants, in which some players take the roles of bureaucrats that will draft their strategy paper, and some will play experts, who are there to advise and inform.

The larp is run in sequences. First each of the Three Ministries drafts their own policy proposals, advised by experts. Then, all the proposals are gathered together, and the final strategy is formed. Finally, the bureucrat's work will face its final evaluation at the hands of the Lunar Parliament, which approves or rejects the proposed strategy. Thus, if the strategy is to be passed, the political power relations of the Parliament have to be kept in mind during policy planning. Will the competing goals of the Ministries be put aside, to ensure the future of LunaOne?
